A group is Vetted when all three of these are true:
- Verified owner. The owner proved they run the group: Discord sign-in for the server, or our Telegram bot and a one-time code for the group or channel.
- Clean record. A Signal Nation moderator ran a background check on the owner (public SEC, CFTC, FINRA BrokerCheck and NFA records), and the group has gone 90 days in a row with no upheld reports. Until then the group page shows “Clean record: earning (day X of 90)”. An upheld report removes the badge and restarts the 90-day clock.
- Members vouch. At least 10 different verified members voted for the group in the last 30 days.
Hover the badge anywhere on the site and it says the same thing in one line: Signal Nation checked the owner and their record.
02👍 Weekly votes
Every verified member can give their group one thumbs up per week. Weeks run Monday to Sunday (UTC). Votes can’t be saved up, bought or transferred.
- Verified members only. You sign in and connect the Discord or Telegram account you use in the group. We check you’re actually in the server or chat when you vote.
- The 30-day rule. You need to have been in the group at least 30 days. We use the join date Discord gives us; for Telegram, the join our bot recorded or the first day we confirmed you were in the chat.
- One vote per account. One vote per Discord or Telegram account per group per week, no matter how many Signal Nation logins you have.
- Owners can’t vote for their own group. Thumbs up only: there’s no down-vote.
- Private. Owners see totals, never who voted.
03🏆 Monthly leaderboard
Each calendar month (UTC), Vetted groups are ranked by the thumbs up they received that month. Only Vetted groups appear. Standings update live during the month on the leaderboard.
Divisions. Groups compete against groups their size, using the member count from Discord or Telegram itself (refreshed daily, locked on the 1st):

If a division has fewer than 3 groups in a month, it joins the next smaller division for that month.
Winners. On the 1st, results lock. Moderators review the top 3 in each division for fake-vote patterns, then publish the winners (usually by the 5th). #1 in each division gets 7 days of free Featured placement. The top 3 get a badge like “🥇 #1 Medium groups · October 2026” on their group page and a spot on the homepage.
04Audits and fair play
Moderators look for vote patterns that don’t look like real members: lots of votes from brand-new accounts, bursts of votes in a short time, or many votes from the same network. Suspicious votes can be removed and results can be disqualified before winners are published.
No rewards for votes. Owners may ask their members to vote. Offering anything in return (discounts, free months, giveaways, access) disqualifies the group and removes its Vetted badge.
05Reviews
Members can still leave star ratings and written reviews. They help you decide, but they don’t change Vetted status or the leaderboard. Featured (paid) placement never changes votes, Vetted status or the leaderboard either.
06Unclaimed listings
Some listings are added by us from public information so you can find them. They’re labeled Unclaimed and can’t be voted for or vetted until the owner claims the listing.
