The trust score

How trust works

Every group gets a trust score from 0 to 100, built only from things we can check: did members get what was promised, is the owner who they say, and how do they behave when something goes wrong.

01What goes into the score

PartMaxBased on
Delivers as listed35 ptsMember star ratings, read as "did the group deliver what the listing promised". Smoothed toward 3.5★ so a handful of 5-star reviews can't max it out. Verified-member reviews weigh more than unverified ones.
Honesty record15 ptsUpheld reports against the group or its owner. Each one costs 40% of this part and stays on the record. Open reports don't count until a moderator decides.
Owner responsiveness15 ptsHow reliably the owner answers members and moderators.
Time listed in good standing15 ptsMonths live since approval (or since the last upheld report). Full points at 24 months.
Server ownership verified10 ptsThe owner proved control of the Discord server (Discord sign-in) or Telegram group/channel (our bot and a one-time code), or a moderator confirmed it for a Discord/Telegram group. WhatsApp, Slack, Whop, Patreon, Skool and X groups can't earn this part yet: they show “Ownership not verified yet” and are reviewed by moderators by hand.
Identity checked10 ptsA moderator manually checked who runs the group.

02What never counts

  • Trading P&L, win rates and gains screenshots. Owner-reported scorecards are shown, labeled “not verified”, and ignored by the score.
  • Member or follower counts. Big isn't the same as honest.
  • Paying for placement. Featured listings are shown in a labeled “Featured” row and at the top of matching results, but featuring never changes the trust score, ratings or reviews.
  • Trade showcases and community posts. Owner-uploaded trade screenshots are owner-reported and unverified; testimonials and other community posts have no stars. Neither feeds the score.

04New groups start low, on purpose

A brand-new listing has no reviews and no time in good standing, so it starts in the “New” tier even if the owner is excellent. Verifying ownership is the fastest honest way to gain points; the rest comes from members and time. Every group page shows its full breakdown, so you can see exactly why a score is what it is.

05Moderation and reports

Every listing is approved by a human moderator before it appears in search. Anyone signed in can report a group, owner or review; moderators uphold or dismiss each report. Read the listing & review guidelines for what gets a listing removed.

06What the score is not

Not investment advice. Signal Nation is a directory of independently run trading groups. We do not provide investment, financial or trading advice, we do not verify any group's trading performance, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Trading involves substantial risk of loss.

The trust score is our good-faith assessment of honesty and delivery, not a guarantee, endorsement or prediction of returns.
